Job Objective

We are seeking a skilled and creative Compositor to join our dynamic VFX team. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and artistic vision to seamlessly integrate all the elements of a shot, including live-action and CGI. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a deep understanding of the VFX pipeline, and is passionate about creating stunning visual effects that elevate the narrative.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate closely with various departments to understand and fulfill the vision for each project.
• Utilize a comprehensive knowledge of Nuke to composite scenes, ensuring seamless integration of live-action and CGI elements.
• Apply a solid understanding of composition, color theory, and image properties to achieve photorealistic results.
• Leverage photographic skills to enhance depth of field, lighting, and overall scene composition.
• Execute complex compositing tasks, including stereo (3D) and anamorphic techniques, to meet the creative and technical standards of the project.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the VFX industry to continually refine and improve workflow and outputs.
• Participate in reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure the highest quality of VFX output.

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated expertise in Nuke, with a strong portfolio or showreel showcasing a range of compositing work.
• Proficient in additional software such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Maya, and others relevant to the compositing process.
• A solid understanding of the visual effects pipeline, with the ability to adapt to various project requirements and workflows.
• Excellent knowledge of composition, color theory, depth of field, shutter speed, lighting, aperture, and framing.
• Familiarity with stereo (3D) and anamorphic compositing techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
